I have been working on a Journal page, on the PP Forum we are set a new theme each month, last month was the dreaded Mola, enough said!! This month is is LANDSCAPE. I played around for a bit, doodling, but then just went for it. The photo's are not good I am afraid, a bit blurry!
SKY background - thin strips of blue fabrics...
Trees of course - you should know I would do trees...
A path would be good through the trees don't you think?
Green strips for the lower half background...
Some bushes and lavender bushes could be handy...
Distant bushes and trees...
Tree branches...
Tada, almost done, my Landscape journal page...
The back of it just in case you are interested...
Apart from the fabric strips for the background I have thread painted the rest of it,
I feel confident to do another larger piece now, I really enjoyed doing this.

This is the Postcard I received from Rosemary in the PP Forum Postcard swap -
the theme is Someone who inspires you, isn't it great, thank you Rosemary...
The message on the back reads...
Not a swap card, at least I don't think it is, unless I have forgotten to send one out!!!
Oh dear...
this is from Carol B, it is so funny, and I am sure this would happen to me as I do tend to
put my foot down when sewing,
Great card Carol B, many many thanks, do let me know if I owe you one...
the message for you to enjoy...

When Ros visited the other week I got rid of some rubbish blocks and stuff
on her and look what she made with one of the blocks, isn't that cute, apparently
she buys small cushion pads from IKEA - didn't know you could - and makes little
cushions up ready to be given away as needed for gifts, great idea Ros.

I am in a Yahoo group and we did a Row by Row swap, here are the rows I received...
and when you put them all together, you get, well I get this...
I opted to have the layout slightly different to how it is normally done,
I used some of the rows as the borders, I like it this way, I am very
pleased with the way it has turned out, thank you girls,
Maggi, Jytte, Fiona, Marian, Kerstin, and Ange for the super rows,
I wonder what we will do next?

This bag was in my give away the other week, AUDE won it, but she hasn't
been in touch yet, where are you Aude, I need your address to send it to you,
unless you have changed your mind and don't wish to have it after all?????

Just look at these beautiful Lilies, they are growing in Ros' garden she has
sent me these pictures to cheer me up. It worked Ros, but I may need more...

Your thread painted JQ is fantastic Jan - both sides. That postcard with the quilt police is inspired too.
Love your journal quilt, makes me want to take a walk through it. Glad you liked the postcard. Carol B xxx
