I can now put pictures on here of the bag I made for ERIN. She is the lady from America who won my give away along with Katy. I asked what colour bag she would like and her first thought was Black and Orange, woohoo I thought, fantastic, then she put that no she hadn't better have those colours she best stick to 'safe' ones. She also asked for short handles as she always has long ones. I kind of did a s'thing' with the handles so she can have them long or short, see below.
Well, if you read my Blog on a regular basis you will kind of know me a bit by now....hee hee.... Black and Orange it was, I have a feeling I will make another as I loved it when it was done, let me know what you think.
One side of bag...
other side...
this picture is showing how the handles can be either long or short,
you just pull them through the plaited loops I made -
thanks Liz for the cord, see I used some of it
ERIN is going to use it for when she goes to Karate classes, it is big enough for her Kit. So pleased she found a use for it. Erin you are more than welcome, it was a pleasure to make for you, and thank you for giving me such a great colour scheme to work with.

Just happened upon your blog and am enjoying your marvelous quilting. Also like your purse and Journal quilts. By the way, I fell flat on my face in public (how embarrassing)--nothing broken but my face was pretty swollen and black and blue...consider yourself lucky!!

I have gotten so many great comments about the bag! Last class, a grandmother was visiting her grands who were taking class, and she checked the whole thing out, including the stitching on the pockets on the inside. She was duly impressed!
OMG, glad it passed muster Erin, how embarrassing if it hadn't!!!!!
whew!
