Recently, Popular Patchwork had a competition on their Forum, well, I had to have a go didn't I! You had to make a bag from their recent Bag Special Magazine. I opted to make the Crazy one, because at that time my life was just crazy in itself, anyway, this was my entry, front and back for you to view, Oh dear, no points at all, ho hum. Never mind, congrats to the winner, it was a lovely bag.

Louise was the winner in the end, there were a good few bags on the site,
a very impressive entry amount, the bag Louise made was gorgeous, a
worthy winner.
There is news about my machine, going to be a month or more
am thinking about it and may have more on it another day.

Aha, this is the original block I made fro Caz
on the Popular Patchwork Friendship Block swap,
it looks red, it wasn't at all, but hubby said it wasn't purple either,
so I didn't send this one I made another for her...

it is very difficult to get the colour right, I kept going til I got it though,
it is the one above that is right, not these two...

I have actually made my block for Cath now and posted it,
but until she gets it I cant post a picture on here.
I loved making what I did for her, and Annette and Rebecca

MY WORST NIGHTMARE HAS HAPPENED

My beloved sewing machine has gone kaput this evening.
I was doing some quilting and it sounded a bit odd,
but I carried on, as you do,
then it started going...
ppppfffffftttttttt.....
and that was that basically.
So I am now using Annette's old Janome, very strange it feels,
but I have lots to do so can't waste time worrying about it,
just gotta get on with it.
I wonder how much it is going to be to put my machine back to normal.

GOING GREAT GUNS

I have finished one of the Soldier Quilts, bar the binding, which I will do tomorrow. I then started the Batik Quilt on the back of the door from the hanger. That is fairly small so it wont take long depending on the pattern I choose to do on it. Reason I got on so well?

Hubby is doing my house sitting stint for me. Due to the fact my stupid toe is still playing up, am now wondering if it may be broken!! ho hum!!! He said he would do it because of the stairs. We live in a bungalow so have no stairs, I am none too good with stairs at the best of times, poor old soul, and with a gammy toe, am even worse. Anyway, he is doing it as I said so I am able to sew for longer than I normally do without him saying its time to pack away. hahahaha if only he knew!!!!

These cards came for me yesterday from Leah, three at once, great stuff. Thanks Leah.

This one was for a swap I set up to use your scraps only on a Postcard -
I called it SPEEDY,
these were leftovers Leah had from a Baby Quilt she made years ago.
Her son said it needed something to make it 'look cool' so she added the 'bling'...

Oh my this is one very tired Curli, he had just come back from
an extended walk, he flopped on the floor and zonked out...

Pete was cooking dinner and the saucepans woke him up, Ahhh....

I was taking pictures and I think the flash was annoying him,

Hmmmmmm
This came today for me. I ordered it along with another book,
Sylvia's Bridal Sampler,
I have to tell you I am very disappointed with this book, I think the price is OTT,
yes I know the exchange rate is bad at the moment, but come on, there are
only 16 pages inside, AND it appears to be only one quilt done different colourways...

The other book didn't arrive, just a form to let me know it would arrive at the end of July.
I don't think so buddy, I cancelled it and Annette found it at Tesco for me,
£3 cheaper too.
