SCHOOL CONCERT

These photos were taken at the School's Concert,
it was a brilliant evening and these children
had so much talent it was a real pleasure - and eye opener - to watch

HEAD TEACHER...

AN OLD BOY RETURNS...

[Hi Rebecca]

No accompaniment...

Two guitar playing lads...

This lad was brilliant, great sound...

Big sound from this lad...

well done all of you that was outstanding

This girl returned to the school for the Concert,
she has a truly wonderful voice...

this young lad has only been playing piano for one year,
he composed his own piece of music,
it was very haunting...

very good player...

not been playing long...

also just started playing...

Recorder group -
[Rebecca in here again - busy girl]

Talented girl this one
sorry about the fuzzy picture...

The Choir came back...

They sang a very difficult round - brilliantly...

Another Old Boy come back for the Concert...

Only been playing the piano for one year...

Old girl returned for Concert,
she was singing but the mike packed up,
it was a shame...

Grand Finale
The School's Steel Band

Fantastic they were...

There is the drummer, he was tiny...

The teacher of the Steel Drums

Well done to the school and to all the Old pupils who returned for the Concert.
I really enjoyed it.
It was my first trip out for a long time, good thing the school is only over the road!

SCHOOL TIMES

They say school days are the best days of your life!!!
Apart from Sports Days...

Skipping challenge...

Ball push - quite hard to do the ball is very heavy...

Netball - I loved it...

Shot-putt...

Hit the wicket if you can...

Tiptoe through the ladder...

Shoot for goal - teacher in goal - bit unfair what!

Well done Rebecca, even though your team didn't win, you took part,
that is the main thing.
I know she hates sport, just like her Nana.

SHOE EXHIBITION
The school children all had a go at making shoes, as we are a town renowned once for shoes, they made a really good job of them, Rebecca's class chose to make Doc Marten boots...

The Old Woman who lived in a Shoe...

Wizard of Oz - see Dorothy's Red shoes...

Think this was the Giants shoe from Jack and the Beanstalk...

The local Shoe Museum is apparently going to take some and display them there,

Oh oh - School Mam's about...

original.............................altered

and the boys...

will always be boys!!!!

Every child dressed up and they looked fantastic, even the teachers!!! Sounds as though they had fun too!!! All the children who write with their left hand had to use their right, the cane was thwacked! dunces hats were worn, drill was done, girls and boys lines were separate, lots of shouting, don't know about any crying! slates were used and ink wells!!! Think they secretly enjoyed it!!!
Brilliant
