52 BLOCKS

In the year 2009, I signed up to the Friday Night Block Party Group, you had to make one block of their choosing per week, the new pattern was posted each Friday night, of course!! Anyway after a false start I managed to get all of the blocks done. I have to admit they sat around for ages before I got them all out - again - and really looked at them. Some I liked some I loved some I downright hated. BUT, I was determined to use them all somehow or another. First I put them into their sizes, of which there were four or five different ones, I can't remember now, too long ago. Anyway, one I had done that, it was fairly easy. You can see further down what I have done with some of the blocks.  Here are the 52 blocks I made They are not in the order I made them, I can't remember that either and am too lazy to go and find out now. hohoho, and yes I have posted about these before but hey ho, I have some new followers -- WELCOME to you  --  and thought they may like to see them. They are all from Quilter's Cache by the way...

Here then are the Quilts I have made so far with these blocks...
Close up of the strange quilting I did on this one...
 The snazzy backing...
You will see I have added strips round the blocks to make them slightly larger,
I did it to all the blocks as I liked the effect...
close up quilting for this one...
 Yellow snazzy backing this time...
Number three, same format, different blocks...
close up of quilting for this quilt...
Pink snazzy backing for that one...
I have the last 22 blocks sorted ready to use, watch this space

The quilts look great Jan, good job on working your wy through the blocks. I forget how simply framing the blocks can be such an effective alternative to sashing.

Great quilts. I wish I had carried on with the FNBP now, fell by the wayside far too soon.
