BAG MAKING and more

Made a few bags for a competition, I did get carried away slightly!!!! The competition is on the PP Forum, so I thought I best give it a go, but I said I would alter them slightly as is my wont!! Here we go...

Made of yellow satin covered with lemon voile
sequins trapped between the two and if you look close -
you may see a bat or two!!! This is the front view...
the base...

side view...
All I could change on this next bag is the quilting at the top of it,
pretty boring,
but it did get rid of some really ugly fabrics in that chenille part...
I have made this bag so many times, I feel I could
almost do it blind folded, good one to do though,
fabrics compliments of Margaret in France - thank you,
this is the outside...
and this is the inside,
two looks for one bag...
in the magazine this was made in denim from jeans,
I changed that to Velvet and silk...
free motion flowers on the back and front -
yes it is my logo I use...
this shows the silk inside, the button was from my button box...
I changed the geese for this bag,
I just quilted them instead of actually making geese...
again the fabric is compliments of Margaret in France,
thank you...
I changed this to a colourful bag as it was just black in the mag,
fabric compliments of Di, thank you...
I had enough to make two -
oh yes I put a little pocket on the front as well...
I originally was only going to make one bag but had put on the forum
I liked six of them and didn't know which to choose, and Caz said -
"Make all six"
Your wish is my command!!

I bought this gorgeous fabric off our market in the week...
close up of the Peacock..
close up of the Dragon...
Not sure what I will make with it yet, still drooling.

On the PP Forum we do lots of swaps
this is my Postcard with the theme of RUSSIA
from Katy...
and this is a postcard [card type] which she enclosed with one above,
isn't it great? Thanks for both Katy.

I too have been busy making swaps etc,
here they are all ready to go to the post...

FINALLY, I got to grips with the challenge for MAY on the FMQ site. This month it was Leah Day as the tutor, she came up with these 'Foundational' patterns for us to do. As you know I am doing trees right through the year with the themes, and I got a bit stuck with these, but hope you think it looks like a tree!!!!
this is the front...
and this is the back...

Sometimes when you are feeling a bit down,
something takes your eye,
and immediately you feel better.
THIS did it for me.
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you

Your bags are all so cute. Looks like you had fun and they are all so varied. Never a dull moment at your house it seems. I'm anxiously watching for the postman to come.

Great bags Jan, unfortunately you are going to become known as a bag lady. Great news about the garden - is an anonymous phone call on the cards?
