I have entered this at QUILTING GALLERY in the weekly competition, I am asking if you will kindly go vote for me, or of course any other of the ones entered for this theme - WALL HANGINGS - which takes your fancy. The voting starts on FRIDAY. I will put a link up on Thursday, which will hopefully take you straight to the page.
Many thanks for voting, whether it be for mine or others. Please take time to view all the fantastic quilts in this competition, you can vote for SIX, you don't have to vote for mine. I didn't.

BACK TO THE UFO

Once I had finished Alison's Quilt I got back to my UFO and as I had done a fair bit of it before Alison's arrived I soon managed to get it completed. The quilting is the type given us to do by Ann Fahl, from the Quilting Challenge group.
Today I have sorted backings out for two more UFO's....Go me!!!!
I call this quilt - Cottage in a Wood - after a little nursery rhyme I used to sing to Rebecca and my girls when they were tiny...
Front...
close up of cottage...
close up of quilting...
Tree...
another tree..
and another...
well it is a wood...
the back...
close up of back...
In a cottage in a wood
A little man at the window stood
Saw a rabbit running by
Knocking at his door
Help me Help me sir he said
Or the hunter will shoot me dead
Come little rabbit come with me
Happy we will be.
You do actions to this and it is great fun as I demonstrated at my group on Saturday.
Oh yes,
many thanks to Polly who gave me the fabric for the binding, it worked a treat Polly. Cheers.
Every quilt should have one...
a quilt stand!!!!!
hahahaha, don't you love those socks!
