CHANCE I AM TAKING

The 'chance' I am taking, is that I hope all of these have been delivered now. I don't think everyone I sent to reads this Blog so I may be safe on some. This first picture is of a 'Quiltie' made for a swap on a new group I belong to, it had to be 6" square, so fairly small, for me anyway, I am more used to large Quilts, I did enjoy making this for Caz though, I know she likes purple so the colour will be right...
Oh my gosh, this block has been very difficult for me, it is for another swap, this time on Popular Patchwork forum, the colours had to be 'bright, think sunset, desserts' well these are certainly bright, I had it in mind to do large colourful leaves as though it were the Rainforest!! Hope she likes it...
This was for yet another swap on PPF, I cheated here, I had this block done way back, glad it has come in handy for something as I loved it, the request was - 'my garden' - we used to grow fabulous Roses, so hence this block, yes I know it looks an odd size but 12 x 14 was requested!!...
You may remember Angela and myself are doing a monthly postcard swap, this is my card to her for March, I absolutely love doing trees, and this time I just had to put the yellow ribbon round for A - not Angela, my friend's son A. I sewed beads all over the tree as a hint of the coming Spring, hope Ange likes it...
This is my Quiltie from my swap partner who was.......Annette, my daughter. I just love this because I love all things Amish, as she knows, so am thrilled to bits with this little gem. Thank you Annette xx
I remembered this morning some others I had sent packages to;
Fiona, Susan P and another Susan

GREAT STUFF

Isn't it great when something goes right?

At last my card has been delivered to Fay in Israel, from the Popular Patchwork Forum, it was this one I showed you the back of....

Here is the front of it now, so you can see what it was all about.

The theme was 'UNDER THE SEA' - I have done Bath Night at Nana Oc's

and here is the totally finished card...

Fay has asked how I did it. So here goes, that's if I remember correctly. The background I made using my new Embellisher machine, this was the very first thing I did on it, I quite thought it looked like the sea, hubby wasn't convinced though! I used wool and Angelina fibres, they are the sparkly bits you can see, at least I hope you can see it sparkling, click on the picture, you might see them better. My daughter found me a piece of fabric with the Octopus on, I cut in out and managed to chop off some of its legs - oops - so I free machined them on in yellow, they are in the bathtub so you cant see them, but Fay can. I made the bathtub from a piece of hessian, this was loosely satin stitched on leaving the top free, so I could put the little fish in it and one on the end of each of Nana Oc's 'hands, eight fish you see. The red bits are again, wool I whacked on with the embellisher machine, they are supposed to be bits of coral!!! Then I decided at the last minute to stitch on lots of white crystal type beads to give the impression of bubbles in the bath. Think it worked.
So there you are Fay, that is how I made the card for you, I am sorry it was late, I am managing to slowly but surely catch up with all the things I am behind with. Enjoy the card.

ALSO
I have heard from the two ladies who received these from me as swaps, I am pleased to say they both liked their items, always a relief that.

AT LAST, something going right for me.

Now, if I could just see what Blogger is playing at I would be more than happy. Does anyone else have these problems.

Double line spacing when I don't want it.

Title part not in right place.

WHAT IS GOING ON BLOGGER?

SWAPS FINALLY DONE AND POSTED

This was made for the Summertime Mini Quilt Swap I joined,
I managed to get it in the post by the skin of my teeth...
I used my sari silks for this...

close up for you...

this is the back...

close up of back...

Next is a block made for Angela from Popular Patchwork Forum - she chose to have Butterflies as her blocks, this is what I made for her - it is a Cabbage Butterfly, my way!!! This is just one of the little butterflies I stitched in the spaces...

and another, this is the one I signed with my name and year on it...

one of the 'Cabbage' butterflies...

and the other one, hot fix crystals on them to make them sparkle...

the complete block...

hope you like it Angela, sorry it took so long.

Now we have a mini bag for yet another swap I was in...
this is the inside of the bag - it is totally reversible in case the receiver doesn't like the outside!!

picture of the back and the front, she elephant and the giraffe pictures, are little panels I have attached as mini pockets...

I really hope everyone likes their swaps when they receive them, I do hope they all arrive safely at their destinations.
They were all done on the new machine by the way
I have had terrible problems getting these pictures up here, I do hope that isn't going to be the norm, I don't think I can cope with many more things playing me up just now.
Take pity on my Blogger and do it right.....please

VERY SPECIAL RECEIPTS

In the group Pizzazz that I am in we did a Mini Quilt Challenge Swap, we had to make a Mini Quilt the size up to us but no bigger than 10" I think it was. Then the list mom, got her son to pull out who would send to who. My Mini Quilt is going to Peggy, I hope she likes it.
BUT....
I got Carole Marie's Mini Quilt.
It is called 'Love of the 40s' for obvious reasons.
Isn't it gorgeous. I love it to bits.

AND THEN... In the very next post I received from Elaine, a card I had admired on her Blog. I had no idea it was me it was coming to. Don't you just love it. She is just so clever with her cards. Here it is...

So a HUGE thank you to both these ladies, they really made my day for me.
