BIGGER CHEER

I cannot believe the difference in my foot today. I have managed to put it to the floor and walked properly. I am so pleased. I am certain it is due to the Arnica. I cannot praise it highly enough. I wish I had had that when I first did my toe, all those years ago. At least I know of it now and will get it for the future when I will no doubt smash the foot into something else. Again..and again....and again...

Tomorrow I am going to try and put a shoe on, think I may be asking too much as the little toe, Ahhhh, is twice its normal size, a very fetching colour though. In fact, if I dare say, Caz, it is just the colours you want for your Friendship Block Swap. hahahahaha

Thank you Caz by the way for saying you like the look of the new page. I think I will be sticking with this for a while now as I am finding it very restful on the old eyes.

I managed some sewing today, I finished off eleven Postcards. Woohoo. Yep 11. I am so pleased with myself, the foot managed to stay right on the pedal and there was NO PAIN. Yippee! OK, I admit when making the postcards it is all basically short bursts of sewing, a Quilt would be a different ball-game methinks!! I want to get on with some Quilts, its ages since I did any of what I call, PROPER quilting. Unlike Babs, my friend over at....

http://quiltech-quiltech.blogspot.com/

Babs has been playing with some Feather Quilting, pop over and see what she has achieved so far. Great stuff. I love doing the Feather quilting, but am not perfect at it....yet...well, will never be PERFECT, but I will be 'good enough' and that will suit me.

I have also managed to finish - wait for it - the two beaded dolls I started way back when!!!! One is for Noel and one for Elaine. They are what is known as Icicle Dolls. Hubby wants me to count how many beads I have sewn on them. In his dreams. I am chuffed to bits with them. I may be able to find an old picture to put here given time.........

Hubby had a text from the IT man this evening, he is back from his holidays next TUESDAY.....so will call in on Wednesday to look at the computer and hopefully...please please please....fix it there and then. I do hope it isn't a 'take away' job. Have to be content with that though don't I? He has to have a holiday doesn't he?

Guess so.

I know, I am selfish.

Who would ever have thought I would be sitting here be-moaning the lack of ability to use my computer? I know my friend Di will be laughing her socks off at me. I can just hear her now.

HOORAY

Foot definitely a little better even though I still cant get a shoe on I can put my foot to the floor now.
Hubby brought me home some Arnica and so I have been chucking them down my throat all day for them to work their magic.
Soon be back to normal.
Thank Goodness.
Annette and Rebecca came over today and Reb had brought her new game with her--CLUE -- it is very good, lot of fun, we had a few games of that then some bacon butties for lunch. yumyum
Annette went to the post office and posted Ros' block and Helen's card off for me.
They should arrive for them, tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

HMMMMM

Last night, woke up, needed the loo, as you do.
Got up, not quite awake,
Crack - foot met door frame, door won.
OUCH
OHHHHH
OOOOOOOO
Words to that effect...and now I am awake..so is hubby.

Hubby " What you done, walked into the door?"
Me "Bashed my toe again"
Hubby "Oh"

So caring, so understanding, so...........so fast asleep already.

Today, well yesterday actually cos its late now...Toe pretty colours, blues and mauve's VERY painful..cant get shoe on, unable to get about much, certainly cannot sew, tried it, only managed half hour.

Tomorrow has got to be better...please.
PAIN = BAD

MASSIVE GROAN

My IT man is on Holiday.
Only a week, but it will seem like forever to me of course.

I have looked into fixing this myself,BUT
when I get to the page where it says -

Computer will be restored to factory settings

I have to tell you
I chicken out.
If it means this has to be done - hmmm
I guess it will have to be so
BUT
you will all hear the groans wherever you live.
Trying to think of a way to save my Blog at least
then there are all my friends
and links
and information
and
ARGH!!!
:-(
There is nothing wrong with the Internet,
it is just the pictures I am having trouble with, I cannot access either
of the programmes where I alter my pictures.
ARGH :-(

WELCOME

Hi Lammie a New Follower
Welcome to my Blog hope you enjoy your visits.
I had put a picture here
BUT
when you clicked on it
it was huge, ugly and took ages to appear,
so
I have deleted it.

OH DEAR WHERE IS IT?

Oh dear
this is what dropped through the letter box this morning
a blank card!!!!

Oh dear, the front with the sewn part has gone,
how sad it is, I shall never know...

I have to say it is because of the card stock used for the back, when doing the edge stitching it was too close and acted as perforations in the machinery at the postal depots, This is why I feel it ought to be Fabric on the back. I now have to explain to Tee, I haven't got her full card.

FINISHED FOR ITALY

I just need to do a label for the back then off it goes to ITALY

The back...

I really enjoyed doing these loops,
Many thanks Mary for this pattern

Please please read it.

All I need is the address to send it.

ALL CHANGE

OK folks, this is regarding the Blog I started up for Annette.

Silly me cant work out how to open it up to her, so we are forgetting the one I have created and Annette is starting her own up at this very moment.

MY GROUP SATURDAY 16 MAY

To day I was asking the ladies to make two separate blocks, the first was to be Cathedral Window - Secret Garden, the second, the Wonky Star Block.
Today I was also going to meet Janice for the first time, she is the lady I have been partnered with by Khris for the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. swap.
These posts are out of order but I was tired Saturday and so only put Janice on, this lot I made wait as there are so many pictures. Better late than never though.

So here are the ladies working away at their Secret Garden Block..

Lots of concentration on their faces...

That's right, edges together...

Annette took these of Janice and me - this one she said would not do...
we both look worried don't we?

Told us off and said to smile a bit,
this is a great photo...

Still doing the Secret Garden...

Janice working away on my machine, she did very well considering
it was a strange machine, first time here etc etc...

Tada - here are some of the finished blocks, well, half of the
finished block, four squares was what I was aiming for,
but this is better than nothing...
Well done girls...

Wahey, look, one complete block,
Well done indeed that girl...
Pretty isn't it

LUNCH TIME
Chomp chomp chomp.
I then introduced them to
The Wonky Star
This I told them would take them, as it had me,
OUT of their Comfort Zones.
Look at the faces....
You could have heard a pin drop....

OH DEAR!!!!!

But hey, my ladies gave it their best shot...

Lots of groans I can tell you...

Just look at this fabulous fabric, oh isn't it gorgeous...

Hmm, keep them wonky girls...

You see, after all the grumbling and unpicking and
a few tantrums,
just look at what was achieved...

WELL DONE TO YOU ALL
I am proud of you for sticking at it

Next up was our
SHOWTIME
this is the part of the day everyone loves,
they are invited to bring along things they have made, either
from the classes or by themselves, it is always good for others
to see lots of things, this is where people get ideas from
so time for you to also enjoy our SHOWTIME

First up was this wonderful BACKPACK, Annette modelled it for us,
the ladies husband had devised a way of plaiting leather without it having
those tiresome tassels at the ends, how, I don't know but will find out...

A block made by one of the ladies to give to Annette for a Soldier Quilt,

[[[[Annette has joined forces with Di - sorry for the pun, - she
will be making up the blocks that have been donated, into Quilts,

then they will be passed to Di - who is also making Quilts from them,
she will then deliver them to her son who will forward them to the
shop, then on to Headley Grange, saving postage,
]]]]
Back to Showtime...

Great Block - many thanks...

Carole from Poppy Patch brought these blocks along,
these are also donated to the Soldier Quilts,
thank you again to the anonymous donators...

Now this is stunning..
THIS QUILT all completely done by hand,
has been donated to a Soldier,
how FABULOUS is that,
Many many thanks go to the lady who brought it into the shop -
Poppy Patch - and said what it was for...

Pattern seen in an Australian magazine and made
by Gail, it is gorgeous Gail, well done...

Doll blanket made by Rebecca on her sewing machine -
gifted to her courtesy of Pat...

Some of these you will have seen before of course, this being one such,
Annette's Mothers Day Quilt and Swapped charm squares quilts...

THREE Soldier Quilts made by Annette,
the blue one is finished the others are well on their way...
The Tumblers and Rail Fence quilts are
'Trundle Truck' Quilts...
That is, Wheelchair Quilts in Rebecca speak...

A beautiful tree cushion, adapted from the Christmas Tree we made in March...
The Apple cushion was 3D apples, Fabulous,
made by the lady who made the BackPack...

Fanfare here...
It is not often my other daughter - Suzanne - gets a mention,
but here is the gorgeous door curtain she and her hubby
made for his dad for his birthday,
this was huge, he has a massive porchway, he was thrilled to receive this...

Jean's Quilt, finished, she was pleased with it,

The quilts all piled up ready to be viewed...

UFO - this is going to Italy eventually...

A very talented lot of ladies I am sure you will agree.
I love my group and all they do it is a pleasure being with them.
