Myfanwy is doing some tutorials on Journals

I was quite taken with the first one so rang her up and - I have ordered the paints and a book so I can get started. I blame Di for this, she is supposed to be my friend!!! Making me do all these 'odd' things. Seriously, I had a lovely chat to Myfanwy and my package is in the post, I cant wait to have a go, am I changing do you think?

Now then - this is my Sampler of Psalms Quilt. It is finished, hubby liked it just as it is so I am going no further, I have to quilt it of course, when that will be ??????  BUT, can you spot a bit of an OOPS! Caz did. How the heck I managed to miss it even hubby missed it, I do not know. I will change it as soon as I can, I don't do that deliberate mistake malarky, I like things to be right. Sorry.

Whilst sorting out my Postcards the other day, I came across quite a lot which I had stupidly written on the backs - you see I always used to make two of each I made,  then I would write on the back what swap it was for and to whom I had sent the other card. Well, I decided that was a waste of cards, so I pulled all the backs off the ones I had written on, Postcards and QTC's and have redone them with fresh backs, they are all now useable, makes sense really. These are the QTC's I have redone. Just in case you are querying, YES they are MINE all mine,  I would NEVER vandalise a card which had been sent to me. I treasure them all, I have some truly wonderful Postcards and QTC's from people all round the World.

Aha, this is the original block I made fro Caz
on the Popular Patchwork Friendship Block swap,
it looks red, it wasn't at all, but hubby said it wasn't purple either,
so I didn't send this one I made another for her...

MY WORST NIGHTMARE HAS HAPPENED

My beloved sewing machine has gone kaput this evening.
I was doing some quilting and it sounded a bit odd,
but I carried on, as you do,
then it started going...
ppppfffffftttttttt.....
and that was that basically.
So I am now using Annette's old Janome, very strange it feels,
but I have lots to do so can't waste time worrying about it,
just gotta get on with it.
I wonder how much it is going to be to put my machine back to normal.

Oh my this is one very tired Curli, he had just come back from

Hmmmmmm
This came today for me. I ordered it along with another book,
Sylvia's Bridal Sampler,
I have to tell you I am very disappointed with this book, I think the price is OTT,
yes I know the exchange rate is bad at the moment, but come on, there are
only 16 pages inside, AND it appears to be only one quilt done different colourways...

The other book didn't arrive, just a form to let me know it would arrive at the end of July.
I don't think so buddy, I cancelled it and Annette found it at Tesco for me,
£3 cheaper too.
