SEPTEMBER QUILT SET DAY - UPDATED

UPDATED with names now as far as I could remember...

I was absolutely stunned by all the wonderful Quilts in our Showtime today. I do hope you will enjoy the show as much as I did.
Ready to quilt by  JANICE
I surprised Janice today by taking along a fabric postcard pack for her to make -
she always said she couldn't make one, well look what she made...
************
Four of the YELLOW blocks entered in our Block Lotto...
Four more - we had eight in total,
can you pick the two winners?
The yellow rose on black background and the sunset block directly above that
were the winners, they had 4 blocks each...
*************************
Following are the entries in a small competition I set them, to make something from the
lesson they learned in July's meeting, I had four entries...again can you pick the winner?
I'm not sure people quite understood this block, it is a REAL heart,
done in sari silks, very clever I thought...
The winner was the one with the tabs at the top
* won a gift voucher for £10 to spend with THE QUILT TOP
***************************

a closer view for you...
You will have seen I haven't put any names against the work this time. The reason being, one of these items is a surprise for someone very special and so I have no wish to spoil that surprise. I figured if I name no-ones work the surprise stands. I would hate for the person who is to get the item to see it on here, you just never know who reads your Blog do you. I asked permission to put the picture up in the first place for you to see. If you know what I am talking about and wish to leave a message, please don't mention any names, just the item. Many thanks. Once the item has been given to the person I will put the names up to give the credit where it is due. I hope you will bear with me on this.
All the work was brilliant today girls, gold stars all round. I wish I could give prizes to you all for what you have achieved here. Those Dear Janes were such a surprise for me to see today, I really must start mine!!!!!
Thank you ladies of the Quilt Set for making it all worthwhile.
Thank you Lisa and Neil of THE QUILT TOP for attending with your fabulous fabrics once more.

What amazing work, you must be so proud of them Jan. Reb has done wonderful things with the scraps. I love the cushion but the other piece is gorgeous too.

Hi, I've given the quilt to Claire and she absolutely loved it and can't wait now for the baby to arrive!

Everyone at work loved it too and are thinking of having a baby so they can also get a quilt - I don't think so it was a one-off!!
