SOME QUILTING I'VE DONE LATELY

OK this isn't quilted - yet!
This is a trial run for me at this pattern and the way it has been done.
I will give the verdict on it once it has been quited. It is pinned up ready for quilting as I type, when I get to do it is another matter...
just when I clicked the camera, the wind blew...
Better...
Three quilts with their wadding and backings waiting to be pinned up...
Last year I joined a Yahoo Group and we made a Block a week - 52 blocks -
I found them recently and thought what to do, what to do,
I have managed to get four Quilts from all the blocks, with a few over,
these will be used for labels on the backs...
the blocks were different sizes, from 8" - 12"
challenging to use them all I thought, but no, it was easy,
the sizes went together nicely, I had enough of each size to make a Quilt be it large or small
as you can see, there is one more needing it's picture to be taken, I only put it together at the weekend...
Above is the one which is missing, all the blocks laid out on my bed with their border strips laid on top, to get the idea of how it will look, below all the blocks have theri strips sewn on, just piled up on a chair...
Do you remember I chopped a load of fabric into strips and rolled them all neatly into types of jelly-rolls. How neat and tidy they looked?
Well this is what they look like now, these are the 1 1/2" strips, I used these for the borders round all the blocks, bit of a mess now aren't they?
A real mess...
and the floor...
Ha Ha Ha Ha I knew it wouldn't last.
**********************************************
Now for the Quilting bit, I really did do some, quite a bit really. I got carried away. I am practising feathers still, so be prepared to be bored...
These were blocks I had made using scraps of red and blue and making wonky stars,
I found a near match fabric for some plain blocks to seperate them, then quilted at will...
This Quilt is for my friend Di, it was an old UFO, I knew I was going to let her have it
as her surname begins with 'T'
just right for her I think, hope you like it Di now it's done...

Di's quilt looks AWESOME! Do you have any E or H quilts you could send my way? :)

Love all your feathers. I will learn how to make them one day. Great scrappy sampler tops!

I really like the circle quilt and you have been so busy with all the others. Most people would take a rest on their birthday but I guess that doing what you really enjoy is what you should do instead
