TICK TOCK TICK TOCK QUILT SET MARCH 2011

TICK TOCK TICK TOCK go the clocks not waiting for me or anyone else to catch up. We altered our clocks here at the weekend, and extra hour of daylight. Yippee! Will I be able to catch up with things now I wonder!!!!! We shall see. Here is the first thing I really am very late with now. These were taken at my groups meeting on Saturday, sorry for delay but hey, just enjoy the pictures. I had four, yes, FOUR different things for them to do on the day, and do you know some of them actually managed to have a go at all four...well done girls.
Busy people sewing...
 Steady does it Joyce...
 Hearts are looking good...
What a very tidy work area...
 Dee concentrating very hard...
 Neat and tidy...
 Watch your fingers Irene...
 Machine corner...
 Different angle...
Always a big smile from Joyce...
 Busy stitchers...
Something else going on here now, I have asked the ladies to make these squares - then -
they give them to me!!!!!...
And they did... Looking good...
 and more...
 and more...
 Great stuff girls...
Well done girls, these are the hearts made on the day ready for Di
to send to her friend Evie for Christchurch folk...
More will be coming next meeting...
Lisa and Neill were with us today with their goodies...
 oooh I want I want....
 Gorgeous...
 YLI Threads...yay...

SHOWTIME

Table runner we did last meeting - [November 2010]
 Super cushion...
Table runner pattern - but a Quilt this time, well done...
Pretty quilt from Maureen, the S&W way...
Back of above, showing the long-arm quilting...
By Annette with a Charm pack she had for Christmas...
Very pretty bag displayed ----but not made by Rebecca,,,
WooHoo Pat's Quilt for her Grand daughter, finished at last...
Irene's Baby Jane Quilt - she didn't enjoy making it she said!!!!
Oh dear, I do get them sewing stuff regardless, hahahaha...
Suzanne got a jelly roll from Annette and she made this for her hubby Rich,
well done Suzanne, after she finished it, he wanted it longer, doh! No more strips
so she extended it with some fleece - good idea Suzanne...
PLUS a matching cushion for the old boy...
UFO finished by moi...ready for EBay...
Quilted bags, ready for EBay or Etsy!!!...
I tend to give my scraps to either the school Rebecca goes to or to BRIDGET...
Look what Bridget has made with my scraps!!!!!
WOW
Showing the quilting on the back of above quilt,
it is hugs and kisses...
Bridget has done some PRODDY work - not sure if that is spelt right??
She is from Lancashire so has gone back to her roots with this...
This is Bridget's Baby Jane, which she absolutely hated making,
BUT she persevered and got the job done -
well done B...
Here is Bridget on the left, holding the Black and White Quilt she has made
with her winning blocks from our Block Lotto last year,
this is her TELEPHONE Quilt - can you spot it??
Brilliant Quilt---again...
Suzanne bought Bridget a book on Tessellating Quilts for Christmas,
B made this Quilt from the book and is going to give it to Suzanne as a gift for
buying her the book......hang on said I...I gave you the scraps so does that mean I
get that fabulous quilt????  Only kidding, hahaha I think!!!!
Apparently Bridget's face was a picture when I said that at the meeting....
Back of hanging of UFO by me, I can't find the one of the front...
Finishing on a really great picture - these are Bridget's Boots,
aren't they just great, I wish I could wear boots like these...

So there we are a truly great first meeting to start us at The Quilt Set off on a new year of classes, fun and gossip. If you wish to come along, please let me know and I will send you the details. We are in Northampton in the UK obviously, but you would be more than welcome, I love to have new people come along. Email me. Look forward to meeting you.
Our next meeting is apparently only 3 weeks away so I best get cracking on what they will be doing.....let me think......

I like Etsy better, I think the buyers appreciate more hand made things.
