AT LAST IT IS HERE

The day has finally come round when I am going to the Festival of Quilts at Birmingham, lovingly/commonly known as the FoQ amongst my friends and myself. It seemed such a long time to wait when Annette bought the ticket for me, way way back earlier in the year, but now, just look, I am going TOMORROW.

WHEEEEEEEEEEE

I have the stall list printed out and all the ones I wish to visit highlighted, and then some others to visit IF I have enough time. I say this cos I am only going for the one day this year, and that's TOMORROW, wheeeeee, and I have a lot to do.

I have to try and view the quilts, buy buy buy some goodies, meet up with the 'Coming Thru' crew, these are the ladies from the Popular Patchwork Magazine Forum...if you are going and you hear a lot and I mean a LOT of squealing that will be us, the 'Coming Thru' crew.

I also have to look out for my lovely little friend Susan, I bumped into her by chance last year, it would be great to see her again, if only for a hug.

I have to do a stint at selling some tickets for the Quilts we made for Breast Cancer, so if you pass by the PP STAND A59 now it has been moved....do stop by and purchase a ticket or two with the chance to win one of these three quilts....

How is that for a bargain ladies, only £1 per ticket...please please please support us, Rosemary instigated these quilts and wanted to raise £1,000......I will let you know AFTER the FoQ when Rosemary has done a total, how much she has raised. I do know she has reached £1000 + already, we are all so proud of her.

Annette went today and she has taken over 600 photographs.......hahaha She does that for me as I have trouble viewing them with my dodgy neck, she puts them onto a disc for me which is great. I can view them at my leisure. Kerstin we haven't forgotten you.

I have now got hiccoughs, darn it, I was going to go to bed as I have to be up early and I mean early in the morning, groan, I am not a morning person at all, but there will be no point until I get rid of these now.

Today Rebecca painted my nails for me, she has got some proper nail art paints/varnish and wanted to do my nails for me.....So...
I have on my right hand, flowers -  all different on each nail,
on the left hand, I have from the little finger to thumb....
F.....
O.....
Q.....
an ice cream cornet with sprinkles.....
a daisy.....

There you go then I will be easy to spot at the FoQ with those nails....I remember a few years back I painted my nails GREEN, and that was how Ange from the forum recognised me...Hi Ange see you tomorrow.
Did I say I was going to the FoQ TOMORROW?????? Wheeeeeeeeeeee........
********************

I have this week made a quilt following instructions from Geta, I sometimes test her patterns for her and was lucky enough to be allowed to do this one, Geta has done it in Rainbow colours with a cream background which you can view here, you will have to scroll past lots of beautiful things to get to the picture but it is worth it.......
.....but I made mine entirely different as you can see - the pattern will soon be for sale on Geta's site so do watch out for it. I love it and cannot wait to start quilting it but I am off to the FoQ first, did I tel you?????? Tomorrow......
Right, hiccoughs are gone, so am I...

Lovely to catch up with you today Jan, albeit briefly. Glad you had enjoyed the show. Didn't find the PP stand in the end so will have to get a raffle ticket tomorrow morning.
Geta's new pattern looks good.
