BOG STANDARD BAG DAY

On Saturday I did a bog standard bag making class , I had 14 ladies signed up but sadly three had to drop out for various reasons, maybe I will be able to repeat the class if more ladies wish to do it. We shall see. I was going to show them how to make a BSB in the morning - my way - then in the afternoon we were going to repeat the lesson learned in the morning but ZING it up a bit with a secret ingredient. Supplied by me!!!!
Here are the results from the Mornings work, photos by myself and placed here with permission from all the ladies, I am only using initials though...

MORNING SESSION

Handle making...

Yep, that's the way to do it 'D' ...

I was so proud of these ladies, they are all doing it exactly right...

and Rebecca joined the class too...

Ohhh - Temptation time...

Lots of goodies...

Of different types!!!!!

Assembling the lining...

Making the 'gusset' and trimming off the 'ears' -
that caused a few laughs!!!

Impressive work, outer and inner done...

Handle on, looking good 'M' ...
don't you just love that fabric

Hey 'J' don't look so worried, it is perfect,
showing how the handles have to be on the right side dropping downwards...

Well done Rebecca, take your time...
she is using Hannah Montana fabric for her bag

and look - time passes and -
she has finished it and is modelling it for you.
These bags are totally reversible,
so I took a picture of outer and inner for you to see -
if it was plain inside I didn't bother with a picture...

Great job Rebecca,
Nana is proud of you today...

'M' with her brilliant bag, inside and outside which to use?
Good job it is reversible...

'S' I recognise that fabric looks like Emily from Makower...

'M' with what looks like more Emily fabric...

Look at this, they both chose the same fabric...

Great job 'J' it turned out brilliant...
she used a really sparkly fabric and it was all down her trousers - nightmare!!
very pretty fabric it was though

Oh my lovely friend 'P'
Different style handles - short ones,
P prefers to carry handbag style, they had the choice...

Great job 'J', really pretty fabrics used for your bag...

Nice one 'D' - pocket on the inside, and smart tie at top of bag,
great stuff...

Wahey look at 'Ls' bag, made with two dotty fabrics then...

the handles used one of each fabric - fun bag this one...

'G' wanted to make a larger bag,
turned out really good, get loads of stuff in here G...
she also quilted it by the way

Annette made a bag for her sister Suzanne,
it is blue fabric with a very pretty sparkly flower on it,
nice one - not sure about the faces she pulling at me though!!!
the inside fabric is one we tie dyed a few years ago

Not to be left out -
'N' is modelling Rebecca's bag...

I collected all the bags up and took them outside,
tied them to the fence and took the following picture for fun,
I think it looks great.

I have just realised there is one missing..
I don't have a picture of it either,
it is 'B's bag
I shall have to get a picture of it as I remember it was gorgeous.

I thoroughly enjoyed this day with the Ladies, I think they did too,
there were a lot of laughs all day, and once again, I think I wore them out!
Thanks for coming ladies.
The AFTERNOON session will put be up very soon.
