STOP - THINK

I would just like everyone who reads this today, to take a little while to think of my friend who has a wonderful son who is going to Afghanistan today.
He has to go.
We don't want him to.
The Politicians think they know it all. If only they had to go out there!!!

Keep safe A and watch out for those damn IEDs.
love Jan

I pray for him and all who serve their countries in hopes of making the world a bit safer. I do think, though, if the heads of countries had to go there (or their kids), different decisions might be made!

+ Lord, I just ask you to bless A and keep him safe on this tour of duty he has been assigned. Bless his family and friends and give them peace during this difficult time. Please return him safely to his family when his job is completed. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen. +

I hope he stays safe Jan. I could write forever on my feelings about the wars that our soldiers are sent to. They didn't enlist to have fun but neither do they enlist to fight other people's battles where they are not neccesarily wanted..

My thoughts and prayers are with D and the family. We hear the bangs from the testing range across the estuary and know they are learning how to deal with the nasty stuff.

When I'm missing my daughter in New Zealand, I always thank God that she's not in the forces, and fighting in such dangerous war zones. My heart goes out to Di and her family.
