We are clearing the roof space out and look what I found in a box!

Chairman's Challenge at Northamptonshire Quilters 1996
The horrid Chairman [me] gave out those little squares you used to get
from shops as samples of their fabrics, and I challenged the
group to make something with them, this was mine...



I made this as a small whole cloth for Pete's 50th Birthday,
it says,
ha ha ha
hee hee hee
this is the only whole cloth
you will ever get from me

I asked Barb at Kool'nKozy shop [gone now] to give me three fabrics
[I did buy them] I wanted a challenge and knew I would buy safe colours,
I certainly would not have bought these, but it turned out OK

Hmm I started this with a view to it being a quilt,
got fed up making these, then couldn't be bothered to finish it
how bad is that, I was going to put a different quilting design in each centre...

This was made from those fabric samples once again, except these were ALL
from Kool 'n Kozy shop, Cathedral Window with a colour wash effect...

These two cushion covers go with the Quilt I have on my bedroom wall...

I made this for someone - cant remember who - then
she told me she didn't want it...

I did a teapot demonstration at Northamptonshire Quilters
and this was made with one of the odd pots...

When I had my house group - called WWW's - I set them a challenge,
I provided three fabrics and they had to make something, this was what I made

It is called 'there's always one' look at the bow ties...

This was an Amish style hanging I made for Pete for our 25th Anniversary,
it was also the year of the Tulips 400th Anniversary,
Then..
I found he didn't like tulips, Oops!!

We have Di's dog Curly for the week
this afternoon he played ball in the garden...



He chewed it...

played football with it...



wouldn't let Pete have it...



Glared at next doors dogs when they started barking...

squashed it...

chewed it again...

danced with Pete...

finally gave up the ball...

had one last chew...

captured it in his mouth...

said, that's enough playing for today.

He is just so good, we don't know we have a dog in the house.
Rebecca came from school to see him, then was thrilled when Gagee said he
would let her walk him back to the tunnel.
She was in seventh heaven.
