THE CAKE

The making of the cake;
Rebecca requested a 'Hedgehog' cake,
Her mum made the cake, I decorated it....

Cream ready........................Cake cooked, just a normal sponge...

You also need - Chocolate Buttons - cut in half, and Smarties...

Cut the two sponges in half like so...

Try to keep little fingers [and big fingers] at bay...

Jam on one side of the centre pieces of sponge cake only...

Chocolate cream on the rest...

Push all four sponges together
then 'shape' the
front end t o a rough point for the face...

"I wonder if Nana will notice me dip this in the cream?"

"She wont let me..."

"It's nearly all gone, I wanted to lick the bowl"

Artist at work!!!

Make sure the whole thing is covered with cream,
bring the front face end to
a good point with the cream...

Try not to let the photographer put you off!!

Two Smarties for the eyes, one for the snout...
Have to get them right...

YUK... mess I made...

Close up of eyes and nose...

Who ate the Smarties?

Hm mmm....

I see chocolate evidence...

"There are some left Nana, look, there they are"...

"Ha Ha Ha... fooled Nana"...

Push the buttons, that have been cut in half,
on the top, sides and back of the 'body', they should stand up...

Hands were hot, chocolate kept melting...

Looking good Mr. Hedgehog

Yep, You will do...

Oh yes, time for the Banner to go up,
this is the last year for it too...

I'm sure little miss Rebecca had a wonderful Birthday!
That banner is beautiful....I'm sure Nana made it! Since it's retired Rebecca can hand it in her room to admire and remember all the happy birthdays that banner holds!!

Hello Everyone,
Rebecca will be reading these messages as soon as she can get on her computer at home, it is being a naughty computer at the moment.
She had a wonderful day, everything went right for her at school too, for once....... She got overwhelmed by all the presents she received, and we had a few tears, but she is fine now.

Noel, I have to put a picture up of it, she loves it, it fits in her hand just perfectly. lol xx

Thank you everyone for your wishes for her. lol Jan xx
