BYE BYE TREES

Today we managed to get all the rest of the trees down, bar one, Annette came up and helped us, I don't think we would have got so much done if she hadn't. Whilst hubby sawed the branches off, she lopped the side ones off for me to shred. The shredder is really noisy and it was quite cool, so I wore the hat Jean had made especially for me. You will see it later on, Yes I know I look like an idiot, but hey, I was warm and the noise was muffled.

Here we go then....

Annette, getting stuck in the branches...

Like my hat? I was really cold but determined to help...

Hubby, acting the fool...

Behind my back...

Lots of shredding...

Wow, LIGHT!

That one will be down another day...

I jammed up the shredder!!! OOPS!

Well, I thought it would go through...

Going down rapidly, the pile on the left is for Rebecca to do when she comes out of school...

This pile is the Cornus...been wanting to get rid of that for years...

All gone from the corner...

The thin trunk on the ground is going to be nailed just above the fence
height to the tree trunks remaining for plants to grow and cling to...
my idea, clever huh!

Lilac being pruned...

Still there; waiting...

The big bits that wont go through the shredder, hubby is going to cut
these up and take them up the tip...

Filled three bags AND the wheelie bin so far...

I swept the grass to get all the 'bits' off, looks better now...

Cant get over all this light...

Hi Rebecca, you are supposed to be shredding the last bits...

Oh, OK you have already done them I see, sorry...

I think she likes the space...

Steady...

Oops!

All gone, wood gone to tip, all cleared away...

Come on young lady time to go home.

A good day's work.
Thank you Annette for your help.
Thank you Rebecca for your help,
Thank you Pop for getting stuck into it,
Thank you to me.
We shall be stiff tomorrow!
