SCHOOL TIMES

They say school days are the best days of your life!!!
Apart from Sports Days...

Skipping challenge...

Ball push - quite hard to do the ball is very heavy...

Netball - I loved it...

Shot-putt...

Hit the wicket if you can...

Tiptoe through the ladder...

Shoot for goal - teacher in goal - bit unfair what!

Well done Rebecca, even though your team didn't win, you took part,
that is the main thing.
I know she hates sport, just like her Nana.

SHOE EXHIBITION
The school children all had a go at making shoes, as we are a town renowned once for shoes, they made a really good job of them, Rebecca's class chose to make Doc Marten boots...

The Old Woman who lived in a Shoe...
Side........................................Front

Wizard of Oz - see Dorothy's Red shoes...

Think this was the Giants shoe from Jack and the Beanstalk...

Flower Power Wellie...

The local Shoe Museum is apparently going to take some and display them there,
well done children...

This is Rebecca's Yellow Doc Marten Boot...

Great boots and shoes boys and girls, well done.

VICTORIAN DAY
I have 'played' with some of the pictures

Don't they look good...
Rebecca is at the front of this line

original..............................altered

Bit nervous, not knowing what their fate was for the day!!!

original....................................altered

Oh oh - School Mam's about...

original.............................altered

and the boys...

will always be boys!!!!

Every child dressed up and they looked fantastic, even the teachers!!! Sounds as though they had fun too!!! All the children who write with their left hand had to use their right, the cane was thwacked! dunces hats were worn, drill was done, girls and boys lines were separate, lots of shouting, don't know about any crying! slates were used and ink wells!!! Think they secretly enjoyed it!!!
Brilliant

Hi Jan, sports day looks great - I love how imaginative the schools are these days for the non-sporty kids. The shoes look great too. We're all looking forward to end of term this week - and the great British summer holiday season! Ros
