I love this quilt! Nine Patches are one of my favorite blocks to make. They are so diversified. You can mix them with almost anything and it gives the project that special charm. Looking at your UFO's makes me want to get mine out. I have been so addicted to making postcards lately, I have neglected all my pretty blocks that are waiting to be finished.
Janet....I love the fabrics you used in this one....like I said hearts are my fave....I wish I had the time to learn how to make something like this....they are priceless....beautiful job as always!
of course I only ever do simple things and the 9 patch is the simplest of all, But oh boy the patterns you get from it, as you say it is just great. When I made this quilt I really liked the fabrics but when it was put together, I found it a bit too RED for me. Luckily it wont go to waste as someone has 'ear marked' it. All I have to do is finish it! Then the next UFO, this is one of the reasons I gave up all the groups, to concentrate more on my quilting and get some of those UFO's done.
Hi Noel,
This is sooo easy it just gives the impression of being hard. See message above for me and easy!!! things. I too love the heart shape, it is universal of course and everyone immediately understands it, so there are no lengthy discussions about it!!. Also you will see this one is ear marked but you never know, one may appear later for you. :-)
I'm a first time visitor to your blog...I followed you from a comment on MaryQuilts' blog. I have to tell you that I love this heart quilt you made! I love hearts too, so this one just naturally caught my eye. Your work is beautiful. I look forward to seeing more.
Hello Nancy, Welcome to you. Yes I rather like this one myself, but it will be gone as soon as it is quilted tosomeone who loves it more. Thank you so much for your kind words. Have you been to the give away quilt post?
