This is how far I have got with my fabric sorting...

BROWN...
PLAIN and PLAIN'ISH...
Large pieces waiting to go on a bolt maybe...
As I was doing all these fabrics, I kept finding odd bits and pieces, as you do, so I put them all to one side, I then sorted them into sizes, pressed them all, then cut them all into 4 1/2" squares, these will become a Soldier's Quilt in time...
Kim has given me a good idea of how to do one with these squares too...

The top two shelves of my cupboard,
Black and White fabrics for sorting,
and who knows what is in the blue tub I can see????
then
All my Blue fabric, I have masses of blues as you can see,
I reckon they will need about 5 boxes, groan....
Even though this has taken me a long time, so far, I am really pleased with how it all looks. I can see the fabrics easily, I just have to pull out a box and there they all are, just a little of each showing but I know what they will be like. This is going to make choosing much more fun I think. I may - groan - have to redo a few of the boxes, as some of the shelves are not so deep as others, I hadn't noticed this before when I just stacked them all on top of one another. Oh well, not to worry, what else do I have to do with my time?

I had two more blocks arrive today with some other goodies. As I forgot to take photos of them all I shall have to do it tomorrow, meanwhile, thanks go to Kim and Brenda in Australia. I think I have nearly all the blocks now, I have been trying to find out how many are in the swap, I think it is eitrher 14 or 16, not sure.

Jan,
You are the only person that I know
that can take stacks of fabric and threads, arrange them neatly and make them look artsy. Beautiful colors.
I'd love to see your fabric collection in person.
Happy person.
Hi Jan,
Wonderful collection, and sooooo beautifully arranged! But will they stay like that for long? Ros
Hi Phyllis,

If not Jan, please will you come and do mine now ;o)
Angela
This is so organised. Will it stay like that when you start pulling fabrics out to make something?
Hi Noel,
you confused me for a mo with what you had put. I chose the fabrics, he paid for them. Great deal huh!!!
Oh Angela,
I would most definitely rather be sewing, but you see, until I get it all sorted I cant tell what I have in the cupboard. I would willingly come and sort yours for you, I love playing with fabrics.
Hi Maggi,
after the length of time it is taking me to sort, you better believe it will. ;-) Jan
